Week 2 begins

The Dutchys are now here! Kings Kids is an organisation from Holland who 360 are partnering with. Most of their team are under 30 and many are under 20 and from what I've seen so far, they are full of fun and Jesus' love. They are fitting in perfectly and although we are speaking in different languages, God's presence is transcending between the two groups. It is so exciting to hear the prayers of the Kings Kids and to know that their heart, like ours is for the message of Jesus to be heard and accepted by the people of Perranporth.

We had an excellent end to last week, with many children and young people attending Minis, Minors, Majors and GAP. There has also been a record number of parents staying for tea, coffee and a chat with our adult outreach team. Thank you for your prayers about that. God is blessing us with lots of people who just want to talk and as a consequence we can pray for them. Please pray that this will continue into this week.

We have had a number of new team arrive over the weekend. Please pray they will fit in seamlessly and not feel anxious about joining in with groups that have already been established. I would also ask that you pray for the team as a whole, that God will work in the hearts of everyone. We are praying that God will ignite a fire in all of us to spread His message of hope, but also for a new realisation  of how awesome God is, that 'He is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine according to his power at work in us.'(Ephesians 3:20).

Finally please pray for more children and their families to come to the afternoon and evening activities, as well as the holiday club in the morning. We know God will act powerfully as we talk about Him and what He has done for us with the people He brings us.

Well that's it for now. Thanks again for reading and praying.

The photo below shows the tide fight last week. How amazing to have so many people in one place, having so much fun all in the name of Jesus.

It's started!! Read on...

Psalm 103v1 - 'Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name'

So 360 Beach Mission 2015 has started with a BANG! The mad scientist theme seems to be a big hit.

These pics were from the carnival last Saturday, which proved to be a great way to kick off the mission.

We have been very blessed with lots of new team. Please pray for them and thank God for their faithfulness and bravery. Everyone seems to be getting on really well and pulling their weight, so things are getting done in good time and there's a great vibe around the place. The Holy Spirit is definitely here.

The morning groups are proving to be a storming success. The children are loving to hear from God's Word and the team are doing a wonderful job of keeping the children's interest, telling stories and playing some really fun games. Today in Minors there are 50 - yes 50 children. We thank God for that!!

The afternoon activities are also going really well. It was 'Don't Forget Your Towel' (wet games) yesterday. Everyone got drenched and lots of fun was had by all. We thank God that there were no accidents and for the great relationships the team are forming with the children. God's goodness, grace and mercy are being lavished on us. We truly are so grateful.

So far we have had two 'Worship and Word' sessions led by Paul Thomas and Sally Timms. Both were inspiring and it was great to hear God's word for us and to have the reminder of what an awesome, mighty God we have, to whom we can turn to for our every need. Please pray that what was heard in Worship and Word will go deep into all of our hearts; that God will continue to remind us that He is fully in control.

I would also ask that we might be changed, from the inside out, by our Lord and Father as we go about His work. Please pray we won't take this privilege for granted, that we will remain on our knees with our hands open, seeking the Father's heart in everything we do.

Just to close, here are some points for praise and prayer. See you in a day or two - more photos to follow :0)
Praise
  • thank you God for the numbers of children and young people we are seeing each day
  • thank you for the willingness of the team, to leave their own needs behind and be completely focussed on what needs doing on the mission
  • for the number of God incidents that have taken place within the last 48 hours - from team being at the right place at the right time, to phone battery not running out while someone was on a very important call - sounds trivia but boy to we know God is with us

Prayer
  • for the health of the team and that they don't grow weary as they exert their energies doing God's will
  • for next week when the Dutch team join us (more on this soon) that they won't feel disjointed and will be able to join in fluidly with what God is doing
  • for lives changed by the realisation that Jesus is our saviour, that there's no other way to the Father except through Him

Thanks for reading.
